FROM 1973 TO TODAY – A LEGACY OF SERVICE, INNOVATION AND GROWTH - RECOVER GROUP IS BUILT ON HALF A CENTURY OF EXPERTISE
SELECTED SIGNIFICANT EVENTS & EXPANSION JOURNEY
► In 1973, ISS Cubus (a subsidiary to ISS A/S, specifically focusing on the damage control industry) was founded in Denmark. ISS Cubus was later rebranded to ISS Skadeservice A/S.
► In 1975, Sporty Skadeservice was founded in Norway. Sporty was later (1997) acquired by ISS AS and renamed to ISS Skadeservice.
► In 1996, Saneringsentreprenad was founded in Sweden. Later (2010), it was renamed Relita in connection with a merger.
► In 2013, Agilitas PE acquired and merged ISS Skadeservice in Norway, Denmark and Finland and rebranded them to Recover Group.
► In late 2014 and 2015 new management acquisitions were made, and five new companies were integrated, such as Relita in Sweden, becoming a fully pan-Nordic player and the Nordic market leader in damage control.
► In 2016-17, Further expansion in Norway and Sweden by acquiring major local restoration companies such as Skadeteknikk and Norpartner. In addition, Recover introduced sophisticated tools for process management and training.
► 2018, Recover completes five ‘bolt-on’ acquisitions to further cement its leading market positions and enhance environmental services capabilities in Denmark and Norway. That same year, a digital transformation began with implementing advanced digital tools and technologies to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer service and streamline processes.
► In 2019, Recover acquires Aktiv Tankrens in NO and L&T Korjausrakentaminen in FI to strengthen damage control and broaden service portfolio.
► 2020, EQT acquires Recover from Agilitas and acquires companies such as MISAB-Gruppen, Skadesanering, Skadeteknik Gruppen and Rygg og Myrland in Sweden and Norway.
► In 2020-2022, a total of eleven additional acquisitions were made to strengthen the position as the clear market leader within Damage Control and to build a reputable Scandinavian Environmental Services business. In addition, the Large Claim offering in Norway expanded to better service complex and high-value restoration projects.
► In 2023, Recover Denmark broadened Specialized Services to include Special Waste handling in cooperation with the Special Waste industry in DK. Also, in 2023 the Finnish Operations were divested to focus on core markets and the new brand SERWENT is launched, consolidating 8 companies in three countries that previously belonged to Recover’s Environmental Services division.
► In 2024, Recover Group divests SERWENT Group and the DCD part of the Swedish business to further focus on the core Damage Control business.
► In 2025, Pangea AS acquired Recover Group from EQT.
